Indeed, there is no compulsion in Islam and no one is permitted to compel the youth to be religious. But you know that there is a big difference between compelling and inviting! Normally we may, as a kind of care action, invite or urge the youth to be religious; may they ultimately reach salvation! But it doesnât mean that the youths are forced to be religious or they are doing their religious duties under compulsion. After all the care actions, if a young man or woman doesnât wish to be religious and actually doesnât perform his/her religious duties he/she is not punished merely because of their refusal to perform religious acts. Of course if a person commits some crimes or civil offences, they will be punished like as if they were non-Muslim.
